John J. Stapleton, DPM
Podiatric Medicine, Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Stapleton is a graduate of Rutgers University, he graduated as class valedictorian from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his internship and surgical residency at University Hospital/UMDNJ. In addition, he did an additional year of a fellowship in revision and reconstructive foot & ankle surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio under the direct supervision of Dr. Thomas Zgonis. During his fellowship, he maintained an active role in teaching students and residents and held an academic position as a clinical instructor within the Department of Orthopaedics. Dr. Stapleton is known for his work in reconstructive foot & ankle surgery including traumatic injuries and deformities, diabetic Charcot reconstruction and soft tissue coverage. He has written numerous articles and book chapters in the field of reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and is currently active in major clinical research projects and trials. He is married and has three children.
